ARNOLD CLARK AUTOMOBILES LTD

My car was serviced and returned with no oil. when engine packed in due to the lack of oil Arnolds reply was hard lines, you should have checked the oil level yourself.

TWO YEARS AGO I SOLD A CAR TO A CUSTOMER. BEFORE WE TAKE IN

THEIR P/X WE CHECK THE HISTORY WITH HPI THIS SPECIFIC CAR HAD
BEEN AN INSURANCE TOTAL LOSS. WE TRIED TO NEGOTIATE WITH THE
CUSTOMER ON HIS P/X PRICE BUT WHO WANTS TO BUY A WRITE-OFF AND IN
THE END WE WALKED AWAY FROM THE DEAL.
SOME TWO WEEKS LATER HE COMES INTO OUR PARTS DEPT TO BUY FLOOR
MATS NOT ONLY DID CLARKS BUY IN HIS P/X THEY GAVE HIM MORE FOR
IT AS THEY DID NOT CHECK THE HISTORY AND REALIZE IT WAS A
WRITE OF.
THEY SUBSEQUENTLY SOLD THIS CAR ON SOME WEEKS LATER TO SOME
INNOCENT VICTIM.
PROMISES DELIVERED I DON'T THINK SO!

First dealings, after a service there was scratches on the driver door that were not there prior to being in their possession. Second time.... Charged 2 hours labour at £70 per hour to diagnose a faulty cruise control ( well it stopped working completely ). They were unable to find the fault in that time. I couldn't afford to continue paying them by the hour with no estimate of how long it would take. If you are a Seat dealership, how long can it take to identify a fault? You must come across most problems that arise, this was surely not the first time that they had come across a problem like this.

Bought 2 pre-reg Daewoo MATIZ from Armies in April. Documents
say that they were first reg to Armies. It turns out that both
cars were not demonstrators, but x-Ernie hire cars!!
If I HAD KNOWN THEY WERE HIRE CARS , I WOULD HAVE NOT BOUGHT
THEM! THE SALESWOMEN SAID THEY WERE DEMONSTRATORS!!  LIAR!!
DON'T BUY FROM DAEWOO

I bought an Almera from Arnold Clark in January, I'm having
major problems with it cutting out when I slow down and they
have admitted they don't know how to fix it.  The car has 2
years left of a 3 year warranty. Nissan are not interested until
Arnold Clark can prove it's a warranty fault!

Yes, go to Phoenix Nissan in Linwood ( very good service ) the
mechanics down there are top notch and the guy who owns the
company ( john McGuire ) is very customer orientated. the
dealership manager ( Alan Marko ) will do practically everything
he can for you. trust me it's worth the drive and if you ask them
prior to your going there they will even supply a courtesy car all
you need to do is cover it with your insurance.

after searching for the make and model of car I wanted on the
official Arnold Clark site and phoning the showroom in stirling
to confirm the car was still there, and after driving all the
way there from Glasgow. they tell me they do not have that
car !!! what a bunch of idiots they all are.
reg Vardy had one in so I'll be buying it from him. magic site,
should have paid you guys a visit first.

I put my car in for a service and MOT back in January, and it
cost around £300. Once I got the car back, I noticed a rattle
coming from the engine bay. Opened the bonnet and discovered
the alternator bolt was missing. Took it back and got it fixed.
then a month or so later, the garage phoned me to tell me they
forgot to charge me for my MOT!!!! I was only too happy to pay
for it... IN LOOSE CHANGE!!! (You should have seen their faces
when I turned up with £37 in coppers!!!)

Put my car in for servicing recently. while paying bill I
overheard a customer complaining that his spare wheel had gone
missing. I got home and decided to check mine. it too was gone.
suspicious ? yep.
cost me 85 quid for a new wheel and tyre
I wonder where all the spare wheels are going to, just wish I
had the other customers name.

I did get a car from Arnold (Arthur Daley Cars) some time ago, I
have learned my lesson and you can take it from me I'll not be
going back. the car had more owners than stated, might have done
more miles than stated, and when it came to fixing the things
that went wrong with it, they did not want to know me. take my
advice, have nothing to do with AC automobiles, you know it
makes sense.
there are good car sellers out there, go get one but give this
bunch of cowboys a miss.
